Fred is also known for his roles in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. as Octavian Bloom, Hunter: Back in Force as Det. Sgt. Rick Hunter, Bumblebee as Sheriff Lock, Wild Grizzly as Ranger Frank Bradford, Lou Grant as Mike Hauser, and in The Rousters as Will Clayton.

He excelled on the field at Lawndale High School and El Camino Junior College before earning a scholarship to San Diego State University.
