About Geneva Business School
Geneva Business School is an international private institution registered and located in the Canton of Geneva. It offers undergraduate, graduate, and research programs in Finance and Business Administration in different fields with a strong focus on international aspects and geopolitical facets.
The school was established in 1995 under the name Institut de Formation de Gestionnaire de Patrimoine. It was ment to provide instruction to private bankers in Switzerland, the brand name was changed in 2001 to School of Finance to provide education in international banking and finance.
In 2010 the name was changed to Geneva Business School to highlight the importance of the campus location. Since 2012, GBS has opened campuses in Spain (Barcelona), Kazakhstan (Astana & Almaty), United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) , Bahrain(Manama)and China (Chengdu).
Geneva Business School Degree Programs
1.Bachelor of Business Administration in International Relations
It is a three year course which requires the successful completion of 180 credits.The program consists of 4 groups of courses common for all Bachelor’s, from which students may select the desired subjects to study: General Education (45 ECTS), Core Courses (72 ECTS), Elective Courses (15 ECTS), the Orientation Courses (36 ECTS) and the Bachelor Thesis (12 ECTS), which are mandatory to complete the selected major.
Intakes are in February and September. Students are offered the option to transfer for a semester between the Geneva, Barcelona and Madrid campuses.
2. Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship
It is a three year program which requires the successful completion of 180 credits. The program consists of 4 groups of courses common for all Bachelor’s, from which students may select the desired subjects to study: General Education (45 ECTS), Core Courses (72 ECTS), Elective Courses (15 ECTS), the Orientation Courses (36 ECTS) and the Bachelor Thesis (12 ECTS), which are mandatory to complete the selected major.
3. Bachelor of Business Administration in Oil and Gas Management
It is a three year program which requires the successful completion of

study: General Education (45 ECTS), Core Courses (72 ECTS), Elective Courses (15 ECTS), the Orientation Courses (36 ECTS) and the Bachelor Thesis (12 ECTS), which are mandatory to complete the selected major.
5. Bachelor of Finance in International Finance
It is a three year course which requires the successful completion of 180 credits.The program consists of 4 groups of courses common for all Bachelor’s, from which students may select the desired subjects to
study: General Education (45 ECTS), Core Courses (72 ECTS), Elective Courses (15 ECTS), the Orientation Courses (36 ECTS) and the Bachelor Thesis (12 ECTS), which are mandatory to complete the selected major.
6. Bachelor of Business Administration in Sports Management
It is a three year course which requires the successful completion of
180 credits.The program consists of 4 groups of courses common for all
Bachelor’s, from which students may select the desired subjects to
study: General Education (45 ECTS), Core Courses (72 ECTS), Elective
Courses (15 ECTS), the Orientation Courses (36 ECTS) and the Bachelor
Thesis (12 ECTS), which are mandatory to complete the selected major.
7. Bachelor of Business Administration in International Management

Admission Requirements
International Baccalaureate – minimum 30 points. 3 A-levels/High School Diploma or equivalent.
Admission criteria for credit transfer students
Transferring from another higher education institution
Students who have completed studies at another institution prior to their application to GBS may request to have their transcripts evaluated for transfer credit. All requests should be addressed to
Geneva or Barcelona campus for due consideration. The credit transfer evaluation request and file are submitted to the Registrar who reviews the application. Only courses deemed relevant to the GBS programme areaccepted as transfer credit. The Registrar then informs the Recruitment Teams on the final decision. Once the student has been officially enrolled at GBS, previously earned transfer credits are not consideredor validated.

- Masters Programs : Maximum number of transfer credits is 24 ECTS credits (including max 24 credits for APEL
- Doctorate Programs: No credit transfer accepted
Geneva Business School Application
One is required to complete an online application form and upload the following documentation:
- Photocopy of all required academic diplomas and academic certificates obtained.
- One passport photo.
- Photocopy of valid passport/national identity card or permit.
- Resume/CV.
- Introduction letter giving reasons for wishing to study on the desired program at GBS (Transfer credits request should also be included in this letter, if applicable).
- A 400-600 word essay. (Please refer to the application form for details).
- Reference letters. Minimum of 1 reference letter, maximum 2.
- 150 Euro payment for the Application Fee.
Geneva Business School Bachelors fees
- Application Fee = €150 (Non-refundable, paid upon application)
- Administration Fee = CHF 2.000 for European Applicants / CHF 4.000 for Non-European (one time fee)
- Tuition per semester = CHF 12.450 (Total 3 year program / 6 semesters)
- Optional Anglia Ruskin University top up degree = £ 3.300

Geneva Business School Accredition
On 3rd March 2015 Geneva Business School was granted the validity of EduQua certification, which is the responsibility of independent certification bodies. According to EduQua, the label of certification
which bears its name is “intended for all training institutions active in the fields of continuing education and basic training of adults, as well as the continuing education of unemployed persons.” It is valid
until 2 March 2018.
Many GBS campuses have accreditation for programs through the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE) and are listed in the IACBE members accredited list.
