Hu started his acting career in the year 2005 where he moved to Taiwan to learn Chinese. In this same year, he was signed under Yang Dengkui’s First Media Holdings Corporation and moved to Taiwan to pursue a career in acting. In the year 2006–2007, Hu made his acting entrance as the second male beside Wallace Huo in the idol drama called Emerald on the Roof. In the year 2007–2009, Hu made a collaboration with Fahrenheit members. In the year 2009 Hu excelled in his first leading role for the 3rd installment of the K.O. drama franchise “K.O.3an Guo” as a modern version of Chinese historical general Guan Yu.
In the year 2010, his band came to an end. In the year 2012- 2013, Hu flourished in his acting career when he got a starring role beside Annie Chen as the female lead in SETTV’s romance drama. He also got a starring role in the year 2013 jointly with mainland China and Taiwan historical drama. In the year 2014, Hu started filming in Mainland China.
