Gloria Grahame was an American stage, film, and TV personality and artist who started her acting vocation in theater and in 1944 made her first film for MGM.

Notwithstanding a featured role in It’s a Wonderful Life in 1946, MGM didn’t accept she had the potential for significant achievement and offered her agreement to RKO Studios. Being frequently cast in film noir projects, she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for Crossfire in 1947 and later won the award for her work in The Bad and the Beautiful in 1952.

Gloria achieved her highest profile with Sudden Fear in 1952, Human Desire in 1953, The Big Heat in 1953, and Oklahoma! in 1955, but her film career began to wane soon afterward.

Gloria Grahame Death
