In 1973, O’Connor sang and acted in a movie called Jeremy alongside Robby Benson. On January 8, 1974, she starred in a spooky radio show called “Ring of Roses” and later acted with John Travolta in a TV movie called The Boy in the Plastic Bubble in 1976. That same year, she played a character named Bobbie Lee Hartley in the movie Ode to Billy Joe, a sad love story directed by Max Baer Jr.
