In his year, The Pirates won the World Series. He as well worked in the Pirates’ front office for a period of 10 years. Here he played different roles including roles in sales, public relations departments as well as broadcasting. In the year 1997, Brown was the public address announcer. He did weekend sports anchoring at WFMJ-TV in Youngstown, Ohio, in the year 1988.
He spent five seasons thus from 1983 to 1993, doing play-by-play for the Pirates’ Class ASS affiliate in Buffalo, NY. Greg as well hosted a sports talk show on WGR radio.
