After her graduation, Heidi moved to Kentucky, where she spent a year at the Actors Theatre of Louisville. Her first film role was Norman Jewison’s 1989 In Country. She starred in the Welcome Home, Roxy Carmichael, Kindergarten Cop, Too Much Sun, and Hot Shots! Heidi has gues starred in Matlock, Thirtysomething, Quantum Leap, Brooklyn Bridge, Northern Exposure, Sisters, Roc and Touched by an Angel. She has also acted regularly in parts on other television shows, including Empty Nest, Murder, She Wrote, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, and Grace Under Fire.
