Holly Brisley is an Australian actress and television presenter who started her career at the tender age of 16 on Agro’s Cartoon Connection from 1994 to 1997. She took the role of Amanda Vale-Baker on Home and Away from 2005 to 2009.
Brisley’s most successful film roles include Garage Days in 2001 and The Crop in 2002. Brisley excelled in drama and speech and later attended Paradise Performer’s Dance Academy. She participated in various classes including ballet, jazz, and tap dancing, and also took part in eisteddfods. She won many awards for participating in all these.
By the time she was 13 years old, she was already on the books of the Studio Search Agency on the Gold Coast. She had her first roles in Official Denial in 1994 and The Flood: Who Will Save Our Children? in 1993. She first gained attention as a TV personality when she was at the Logie Award-Winning Children’s program Agro’s Cartoon Connection in 1994. She later hosted World’s Craziest Videos, The Looney Tunes Show and numerous shows for Foxtel.
Brisley’s other television credits include roles in Garage Days, The Crop and Dynasty: The Making of a Guilty Pleasure. With her career booming, she had a number of guest appearances, she was featured on Dancing with the Stars in 2005. She later got the role of Amanda Vale, a town vixen on soap opera Home and Away, for two years.
She later briefly returned to the Home and Way in February 2008, she played Amanda on July 2009 but left in August 2009. Over the years, Holly has worked in one stage or another for networks like Foxtel and Channel 10 but mostly she has worked for Channel 9 and 7.
She got to provide the voice of CJ in the ABC children’s series CJ the DJ in 2008. The animation was screened in Australia from late 2009 to early 2010. She got the role of Tara the lead female actor in the feature film Sinbad and the Minotaur in 2011. Brisley was ranked the 5th in the FHM’s Australia’s 100 Sexiest Women in 2000 and 29th in 2001.
