Holly Willoughby Biography

Holly Willoughby is an English television presenter, model and brand ambassador. Currently She is the co-presenter of This Morning (2009–present) and Dancing on Ice (2006–2011, 2018–present) alongside Phillip Schofield.

Holly has been a team captain on ITV2’s Celebrity Juice alongside Fearne Cotton since 2008.  She presented the revived television series Surprise Surprise, replacing original presenter Cilla Black from 2012 to 2015.  Other TV work includes BBC’s The Voice UK (2012–2013), Play to the Whistle (2015–2017) and The Xtra Factor (2008–2009).

Holly co-presented the eighteenth series of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! alongside Declan Donnelly in November 2018 .

Since September 2009 Holly  has co-presented ITV’s This Morning with Phillip Schofield  replacing Fern Britton.  The pair present the programme from Monday to Thursday mornings with Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes co-hosting on Fridays. Philip  presented the show solo on 7 March 2019, due to Phillip’s illness, marking the first time in the shows history that it was presented solely.

Holly co-presented charity telethon Text Santa with Ant & Dec in 2011. Holly returned to co-host the show with Phillip Schofield in 2012, 2013 and 2015.

In October 2018 there were rumors that Holy was expecting her fourth child. However Holly TV presenter  revealed whether those rumours are true or not. On 10 August 2018   Morning Holly’s Celebrity Juice co-star Keith Lemon appeared on the show and point blank asked Holly if she’s expecting another baby. She simply replied: “No.”

Keith then went on to explain why he boldly asked the question: “I did a lot of press and everyone was saying ‘Is Holly pregnant?’

“I said, ‘I hope not.'”

Holly then admitted she doesn’t have plans to get pregnant, she added: “I get asked on a daily basis if I’m pregnant.”

Her sister, Kelly, also works in the television industry. There were news that Holly’s sister, Kelly Willoughby has been ordained so that she can wed best friends Gareth Gates and fiancé Faye Brooks.

In an interview with the Guardian, Holly previously said about her sister: “We’re more like friends than sisters. We even bought a place together in Putney. You would expect some fireworks, but because we have the same friends and have different roles within that group, none of that ever came into it.

“I’m more likely to be the one to say, ‘everyone back to mine’ and cook for everyone, whereas she’s much better at tidying up.”

Holly was forced to host This Morning ALONE on 7 March 2019  after Phillip Schofield was taken ill.

Viewers feared the worst after noticing Phillip was missing from the promo links before the show began.

Phillip’s absence was confirmed by Holly at the start of the show as she announced she was flying solo for the day.

Holly said: “You might have noticed I’m all by myself. Phillip is not well today so we are wishing him lots of love and hope that he’s better soon.”

Holly presenter admitted it didn’t feel right as she accidentally sat in Schofe’s chair.
She explained: “It’s so weird. I came and sat here and I sat in his chair. It just didn’t seem right to sit in that chair and for this one to be empty.

“This is very strange. Stay with me today.”
Holly was steering the good ship This Morning single-handedly, but was joined by Dr Ranj in the studio for his health segment.
She also revealed that she wouldn’t be lonely for long as a host of kids were about to descend on the  studio.

Holly said: “I’m far from lonely though. Later on the show I’ll be joined by 40 children.”

Ever the professional, Holly carried on with the rest of the show on her own
his Morning viewers questioned why a replacement could not be found for Phillip.

They suggested that This Morning favourites Alison Hammond or Rylan Clark-Neal could have replaced Phillip.

Phil will have a couple of days to recover from his illness before the Dancing On Ice final on Sunday.
