Jason Statham Biography

Jason Statham is an English actor and film producer who is often cast as an antihero and he performs his own stage combat and stunts.

Statham’s film roles in action-thrillers are main characters that are tough, irredeemable, and are machiavellian. He is also a former model, competitive diver, and avid footballer. While working as a model for French Connection, he was introduced to fledgling British director Guy Ritchie who was developing a film project and needed to fill the role of a street-wise con artist. After learning about Statham’s past as a black market salesman, Ritchie cast him to play the role of “Bacon” in his 1998 crime comedy thriller Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels.

The movie was well-received by both critics and audiences and helped put Statham in the public eye. Statham’s second collaboration with Ritchie came in the 2000 film Snatch, playing the role of “Turkish”. In 2002, he appeared in the movie The Transporter playing the lead character of driver Frank Martin. He also reprised his role in the film’s two sequels, Transporter 2 (2005) and Transporter 3 (2008). In Cellular (2004), he played the lead villain and had supporting roles in Mean Machine (2002) and The Italian Job (2003).

In 2011, he starred in, a remake The Mechanic of the 1972 Charles Bronson film, as Arthur Bishop. The film received lots of positive criticism from critics and publications both in the UK and the U.S. His return to British films was in the film Blitz as Detective Sergeant Tom Brant. He was also cast in the action film Killer Elite that is based on real happenings. His role was that of an assassin by the name Danny who comes out of retirement to save an old friend (Robert De Niro). In the film Parker, he played the antihero by the same name and in 2012, he reprised his role in The Expendables 2 as Lee Christmas.

The thriller Hummingbird in which he stars as Joseph Smith/Joey Jones, an ex-special forces soldier, is attributed to have had pushed Statham to new heights. In Expendables 3 (2014), he made a comeback still as Lee Christmas. In 2016, he reprised his role in Mechanic: Resurrection and it became highly commercially successful with a $109.4 million worldwide gross. In the film The Meg, Statham appears as former Naval captain Jonas Taylor. For his role in the film, he trained with bull sharks in Fiji to help him prepare for scenes wherein he swims in shark-infested waters.

Jason Statham And The Rock

Hobbs And Shaw: Dwayne Johnson Tried To Make Jason Statham Break Character Every Day. … Dwayne had a specific goal in every one of their scenes. And that was to make Jason crack. There were always the lines that were scripted, that were gonna be hilarious.A

Jason Statham Diet

So you just watched Death Race or The Mechanic and you’re asking yourself, “Does this guy have an ounce of body fat?” Until about 2007, the answer might have been, “barely.” That was right before Statham took his diet and workout plan to even greater extremes, dropping 17 pounds in the process. He’s been pretty much all skin and muscle ever since. Now for the next obvious question: what’s his secret?

It should come as no surprise that Jason Statham is all about preserving lean muscle mass and keeping his metabolism in high gear. For the actor, that means eating as much healthy food as he possibly can. Think nuts, oats, fish, and chicken, and you’re heading in the right direction. Naturally, protein plays a big role, though Statham is also partial to steamed veggies, brown rice, and miso soup.

By the actor’s own estimation (according to an old interview), about 95 percent of the food he consumes is “good,” though he also allows for the occasional indulgence like chocolate. When he does consume sugary or starchy foods, it’s during the daytime so that the calories burn off before he goes to bed. Along similar lines, he doesn’t eat anything after 7 PM. Meanwhile, he just says no to crappy fried food and drinks at least three liters of water per day.

Here’s a sample of Jason Statham’s meal plan, which he implemented while preparing for movies like Death Race and Transporter 2:

Breakfast

Fresh Fruit – Fruits such as pineapples and strawberries might taste too good to be true, but they do indeed deliver plenty of health benefits.

Oats – Rich in soluble fibre and antioxidants, oats make for a nutritious way to start your day. They also help lower your cholesterol levels.

Poached Eggs – Statham’s earliest protein infusion comes by way of poached eggs. Sure, eggs have cholesterol, but that’s what the oats are for.

Lunch

Brown Rice – Here’s a shocking turn of events: Statham partakes in the occasional vegan lunch. Apparently, he’s a huge fan of brown rice. Not that we blame him.

Steamed Vegetables – A generous serving of steamed vegetables is something that no health nut would argue with, especially if that means arguing with Jason Statham.

Miso Soup – According to the actor, “there’s nothing better than” a hot bowl of miso soup.

Snack

Peanut Butter – There are usually 2g or less of sugar in all-natural peanut butter. You did buy all-natural, right? Right?!

Nuts – Almonds, cashews, and walnuts are just a few types of nuts that deliver plenty of nutritious bang for your bite.

Dinner

Lean Beef – Statham loads up on protein come night time, which means chowing down on a lean steak.

Chicken – Chicken is another dinnertime essential in the Statham household.

Fish – We’re not sure if Statham eats his beef, chicken, and fish in one sitting, but we are sure that his body can handle it.

Salad – Statham eats his leafy greens and veggies without anyone forcing him too. If only we could all learn from his example.

Jason Statham Death Race

Death Race is a 2008 action thriller film co-produced, written and directed by Paul W. S. Anderson. It stars Jason Statham, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane, and Joan Allen. Though referred to as a remake of the 1975 film Death Race 2000 (based on Ib Melchior’s short story “The Racer”) in reviews and marketing materials, director Paul W. S. Anderson stated in the DVD commentary that he thought of the film as something of a prequel.

A remake had been in development since 2002, though production was delayed by disapproval of early screenplays, then placed in turnaround following a dispute between Paramount Pictures and the producer duo Tom Cruise and Paula Wagner (the latter was the producer without Cruise in the film). Death Race was acquired by Universal Studios, and Anderson re-joined the project to write and direct. Filming began in Montreal in August 2007, and the completed project was released on August 22, 2008. The film received mixed reviews from critics.

Three direct-to-video films in the series were then released: Death Race 2 (2010), Death Race 3: Inferno (2013) and Death Race: Beyond Anarchy (2018).

Suddenly Nick is plunged into the criminal underworld, chased by enforcers and wanted by the mob. Jason Statham Fashion

Jason Statham might not be the greatest actor on the planet but he’s certainly one of the best dressed. While action flicks such as Crank, The Expendables and the Fast & Furious franchise have made him a cult figure in Hollywood, it’s Statham’s masculine persona and everyman look that’s helped transform him into an underrated style icon.

If you’re a fan of the Stath and his understated wardrobe, here are a few tips on how to achieve the great man’s look.

Embrace your receding hairline

The most recognisable feature of the Stath isn’t his buff body but the classic buzz cut he nails with confidence. Instead of any attempts to hide his receding hairline, Statham has well and truly accepted his fate from early on.

What really makes Statham’s almost bald look is the three-day growth he often sports. This complements his shiny noggin and adds another layer of manliness to his overall appearance. So if you’re in the same situation as Statham or wanting a change, shave the head and grow a beard for a unique look sure to drive the ladies wild.*

*wild ladies not guaranteed.

A tailored suit with a classic cut

Scroll through snaps of Statham and you’ll soon realize he enjoys wearing a classically tailored suit. But unlike many of his contemporaries, Statham keeps things relatively simple with traditional cuts, preferring a two-piece suit that allows easy movement through the chest while still accentuating his impressive, structured physique. Statham favours dark colours such as black, navy and grey, often with an open shirt instead of a tie and a peak lapel.

His number one choice of brand is Giorgio Armani, with Statham reported having worn a $4000 suit, shirt and tie combination from Armani during the filming of The Transporter.

Aviator sunglasses for a bold, timeless look

The Stath loves a good pair of sunnies and his preferred choice is the classic Aviator design. The action star has worn a number of different brands over the journey but is particularly fond of Ray-Bans and American brand Randolph. Adding a pair of sunnies to your outfit is a simple way to stand out from the crowd while oozing some timeless cool.

Similar to a pair of sunnies, an attractive watch helps add to your sense of style. Statham is an avid watch collector and has amassed a massive array of limited edition timepieces over the years. He owns an Orange Hand Rolex Explorer II, first made famous by Steve McQueen, a Panerai Luminor GMT and a Jaeger LeCoultre Valentino Rossi, a tribute to the Moto GP legend.

A recent Reddit thread asked women to give the curious males of the world an insight into some unexpected things they notice first about a man. Guess what? A subtle watch on the wrist made the top three.

Leather jackets aren’t just for bikies

Another staple of Statham’s wardrobe, and one that can be part of every man’s collection – if he’s got the game – is a leather jacket. While the traditional denim jacket creates a rock star look, a black or leather jacket can be worn with any combination of clothing and adds an edgy look to your outfit. Pair it with some jeans and Chelsea boots for a casual style or wear it with a white shirt and trousers for an evening function.

Jason Statham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley dote on son Jack, 2, on a fun outing to Beverly Hills park

She’s a top model and he’s a Hollywood action star.

But on Wednesday Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham were just a mom and dad enjoying a trip to a park with their young son.

The couple doted on two-year-old Jack who was kitted out in a Batman costume.

Statham, 52, was also seen pushing Jack in a stroller that doubled as a miniature race car.

The Hobbs & Shaw star was sportily dressed in an all-Nike ensemble of hoodie, knee-length shorts and trainers and added a baseball cap.

Huntington-Whiteley, 32, opted for a black leather jacket over a baggy white long-sleeve top with black leggings and white sneakers. She wore her blonde hair up under a baseball cap.
