Adam Lambert posted a photo of himself and his boyfriend, model Javi Costa Polo, on Wednesday March 27, 2019, on Instagram, captioning the photo with a simple “LUV U.”

Lambert replied to a comment from one of his fan on Instagram who asked: “So @adamlambert, you’re finally making it official? You’re with @javicostapolo as a couple?” He replied, “Honey, we have been official for months. IG isn’t the gatekeeper of our truth!”

Adam Lambert Confirms Relationship With Model Javi Costa Polo

Adam Lambert has never been one to be cagey about his sexuality — ever since his days on American Idol, the star has been open about his identity as a gay man, and has regularly posted about his relationships with men online.

That certainly didn’t change this week; on Wednesday (March 27), Lambert posted a photo of himself and his boyfriend, model Javi Costa Polo, on Instagram, captioning the photo with a simple “LUV U.”

Fans were immediately ecstatic, congratulating Lambert on his relationship. One fan in particular wrote a comment asking if the photo mean that the pair were “finally making it official?” Lambert responded, saying that the two had already been dating “for months. IG [Instagram] isn’t the gatekeeper of our truth!”

Polo took to his own Instagram to share the news as well, posting a photo of the pair will some lyrics from “If I Had You,” a song off of Lambert’s For Your Entertainment. “But if I had you, that would be the only thing I’d ever need,” he wrote.

The news comes as Lambert prepares his upcoming solo album, which will be his first solo record since 2015’s The Original High. Lambert teased the sound of his new album with the release of his single “Feel Something,” a slowed down, emotional ballad about finding happiness in dark times.
