Long joined the Channel 13 newsgroup in January of 2013 in the wake of moving on from Northwestern College in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a degree in Electronic Media Communications. She’s even taken her reporting abilities abroad. In 2012 she headed out to Belize to show a media workshop to neighborhood TV and radio broadcasts.

While in school she had important encounters interning with newsgroups at WCIA in Champaign, IL, and KSTP in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Her first entry-level position experience was at WHO-HD. It was here that she learned she had the energy for reporting.
