Philadelphia 76ers
After his collegiate career at the University of Miami, John entered the NBA draft in 2002 and was selected by the San Antonio Spurs as the 26th overall pick. However, he was swiftly traded, along with Mark Bryant and the rights to Randy Holcomb, to the Philadelphia 76ers in exchange for Speedy Claxton.
