Jony Ive (Jonathan Paul Ive) and also known as Sir Jonathan Paul “Jony” Ive, KBE, HonFREng, RDI) is a British national and a United States citizen. He is an industrial designer who is the former Chief Design Officer (CDO) of Apple and the serving Chancellor of the Royal College of Art in London.
Ive joined Apple in 1992. He designed products for Apple for ten years before being promoted to Senior Vice President of design. Among his designs are the iMac, Power Mac G4 Cube, iPod, iPhone, iPad, MacBook, and parts of the user interface of Apple’s mobile operating system iOS.
