He worked for Grupo Televisa’s flagship XEW-TV in Mexico City. Ramos quit the job when he was 24. This was after he has produced a story that was critical of the Mexico Government. The story was censored.
Ramos left Mexico for Los Angeles on a visa in the year 1993. He has planned to join UCLA Extension’s journalism classes. He was hired by KMEX-TV in 1994. KMEX-TV was at that time a Spanish International Network (SIN) in Los Angeles.
