Julianne Hough (Julianne Alexandra Hough) is an American actress, dancer, and singer. Hough is a two-time professional champion of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.
She was also nominated for a Creative Arts Primetime Emmy in 2007 for Outstanding Choreography in season five of the show. Julianne’s first leading acting role was in the 2011 film remake of Footloose. She joined Dancing with the Stars as a permanent fourth judge in September 2014.
Hough along with her bother and Tessandra Chavez won the won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Choreography in 2015. She then played Sandy in the live Fox television production of Grease in 2016.

She was born to Marianne and Bruce Hough in a Latter-day Saints (Mormon) family. Hough’s father was twice chairman of the Utah Republican Party. She was born the youngest of five children. She has a brother Derek Hough who is also a professional dancer. Her three older sisters are Sharee, Marabeth, and Katherine. All of her grandparents were dancers.
