Pearson was born and raised by his parents on August 20, 1975, in Chicago, Illinois, United States, but was originally brought up in Phoenix, Arizona, as an only child of his father and mother. He had a passion for rock music since he was young, and when he was about 10 years old, his mother’s cousin lent him a bass guitar. Pearson also started listening to the Thrasher skate and rock compilation tapes with bands such as The Misfits, Septic Death, Suicidal Tendencies, and the Sex Pistols.
