Brown grew up listening to country music and a bit of RnB. After he saw his schoolmate Lauren Alaina‘s success on the American Idol, he decided to audition for The X Factor and the American Idol. He was chosen for the X-Factor but left in 2013 when the producers wanted to include him in a boy band. Kane began singing cover versions of popular songs and posting them online which later went viral for his wonderful voice.
One of his covers of George Strait’s Check Yes or No made him famous and received more than seven million views on his FaceBook. He began gaining followers who reached one million on his FaceBook. His popularity led him to release his own single Used to Love You Sober on 8th October 2015 reaching 11 million views in two weeks.
In 2015 June, Brown released his first EP titled Closer. It debuted on the Top Country Albums chart at number 22 and the single “Don’t Go City on Me reached number 43 on the Country Digital Songs chart. After releasing various singles and his self-titled album he was able to bag collaborations from different artists.
