Katherine Langford and Ross Butler
Katherine played Hannah and Ross played jocj Zach on ’13 Reasons Why’. In season 2 they had a loved-up story line. This led to their rumored off screen romance. It was reported that they had been spending time together since filming wrapped in December.
“Kat and Ross are both private about their dating life, so they’re not labeling themselves a couple – but everyone thinks it’s only a matter of time.”
In April 2018 Ross had suggested that he had a new flame, revealing he was more than ready to settle down with the right girl!
“I wanted to be emotionally set and get my career going before I got into anything serious. Now… I have a good foundation, and somebody I bring into my life could teach me things and help me branch out. The way to a guy’s heart is through his hobbies. Find out what he’s passionate about, and if you really love him, get into it too. If I meet a girl who can talk video games, guitar, cooking or good books, it’s a huge turn-on.”
Katherine Langford and Dylan Minnette
Katherine played as Hannah Baker and Dylan played Clay Jensen in the TV Series ’13 Reasons Why’. During an interview Katherine had this to say about Dylan.
“Whenever I talk about Dylan I always seem to end up rambling (laughs)…He is honestly, I remember it was my first show and he’s been working for quite some time and he was just the best first onscreen partner I could ever imagine working with.”
“We’re very, very dear friends but he was very generous and very supportive and welcoming, not just a person. As a person he’s the nicest, funniest, just the most beautiful person you could ever imagine is Dylan, but then as an actor on top of that, he’s also super, super talented and really cares about the work and again, was extremely generous.”
Katherine Langford Times Up Movement
“I think we’ve been able to see a lot more change since women started speaking out [against sexual harassment],For me, being not only a young woman—but a young woman in Hollywood—is very empowering, particularly when it’s mixed with the social resources we have.
Having an opportunity to be part of the Time’s Up movement at the Golden Globes and after, there’s been a lot more discussion that allows us to really talk to one another and unite in such a global formation. Although I’m still really young and have a lot to learn, I hope I can continue to use my platform to bring light to issues that need to be talked about and to empower other people around me.
Being a woman who is just starting out in my career, it’s so inspiring to see these other actresses who are so decorated and talented talking and putting their names out for the world to create change. I think this was the reason I was so emotional—because they are speaking up and because of what they are doing, it means that I will never have to go through things they went through.
It’s a mix of respect and admiration and thanks and appreciation,” Langford continues. “It also makes me more inspired and empowered to pass that line of thought and action down. These women are holding the door open for me, so that I can continue to hold the door open and continue discussions. [I want] people coming after me to benefit from what I’ve been through and the work that’s been done.
There’s so many characters for the audience to relate to, and they’ll relate to one based on their own personal history and context. For me, [my character] has such an important story and journey that she goes through over the course of the movie, and one of them is trying to find herself. She has a bit of a hard external shell, and it’s that way because she has these insecurities about how she looks, her body, and who she is. In high school especially, there’s this desperate want to be authentic to yourself, but on the other hand, also try to figure out who you are.”
