Keke Palmer Artistry
Palmer’s first studio album So Uncool was heavily influenced by contemporary R&B, being described as “bright, bouncy, and melodic enough to appeal to teens and pre-teens. Fans of dancey teen pop will want to give this auspicious debut a listen” by cduniverse.com.
Palmer was heavily influenced by American R&B singers Ciara, Janet Jackson, Michael Jackson, Mariah Carey, Aaliyah, Brandy, Mary J. Blige, Whitney Houston, and R. Kelly, as well as girl group TLC. Among her urban influences, Palmer also cites pop artists Gwen Stefani and Avril Lavigne as influences.
Following the release of her single “I Don’t Belong to You” on October 25, 2015, she took to interviewers to explain the meaning behind her song. “I don’t belong to anyone else but myself. I have to make my own decisions. Happiness is defined by me.
My sexuality is defined by me. And that can change and this can change and I can make it what I want to make it because I’m the one who makes that choice. So that’s what ‘I Don’t Belong to You’ is saying. This song feels right. It feels right and it’s telling who I am. And it captures my identity.” Following the interview, she shared with the world via social media that she now identifies as no label.

Keke Palmer Nickelodeon
Keke Palmer Fashion career
In July 2009, Palmer launched a Wal-Mart fashion line inspired by her Nickelodeon show, True Jackson, VP. The fashion line consists of jumpers, modern dresses, knit tops, T-shirts, leggings, jeans and more for under $14.
Keke Palmer Kylie Jenner
Keke Palmer slams Kylie Jenner For Not Being Herself On Social Media. Keke Palmer criticized Kylie Jenner for giving in to “extreme” social pressures. She said: “So often [famous] people feel like, you know what, I’m just going to beat [haters] to the punch and either degrade myself or be so damn perfect they have nothing to say.
We’ve seen extremes of that. In the sense of the Kardashians, it’s like I’m going to show you so much and be perfect and be everything a woman should be or everything a man would like or love. And I’m going to be exactly that so you can’t bully me anymore.
“Specifically in the situation with Kylie, where you’ve had a young girl people have seen on television since she was a kid and they literally told her she was so ugly … the ugly person in the family. She went and did apparently everything the world deems as beautiful. The even crazier part is that everybody loves her for it.”
And the ‘Scream Queens’ star criticized Kylie for giving the wrong message to her generation. She added: “What I find interesting is that this is something that is being displayed to my generation showing young girls that if you do everything that society wants you to be, not only will you be praised for it but you will make money for it.
You can be profitable for not being who you truly are.” However, Keke insists she has never caved into society. She told Yahoo! Beauty: “[It is] absolutely so hard [to be authentic on social media] because everybody wants to make everybody so crazy, stupid, ugly, or dumb [but I stay true to myself].”
Keke Palmer Pimp
Keke plays a young woman who takes over her father’s illicit business in this gritty urban drama executive produced by Lee Daniels. Pimp is an engrossing melodrama that could easily have played to enthusiastic grindhouse audiences in the 1970s. Executive produced by Lee Daniels, the film manages simultaneously to feel feminist and utterly retrograde while proving fast-paced and entertaining.
She soon gets caught in a fierce battle when she comes face to face with a rival who runs an even more dangerous game. An urban love story set on the hard streets of the Bronx. A struggling female Pimp, named Wednesday, grows up learning the game from her dad. Once he’s gone she’s left to look out for her prostitute mother and girlfriend Nikki.
The film eventually lapses into familiar action mechanics in its violent final act. But along the way, it offers an impressively compelling depiction of its gritty milieu as well as a moving portrait of the tender, loving relationship between Wen and Nikki. Writer-director Crokos keeps the proceedings moving at a pace brisk enough to help one overlook the familiar plot dynamics, and the exceedingly blunt, profanity-laden dialogue often proves memorable.
Keke Palmer Shrink
Shrink is a 2009 American independent comedy-drama film about a psychiatrist who treats members of the entertainment industry in Los Angeles, California. In 2009, she had a role in the film Shrink of a patient named Jemma, who is a troubled high school student and is required to see a therapist by her school after cutting her hand by punching a mirror.
