Charles Kanjama Biography
Charles Kanjama is an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and one of the founding partners of Muma&Kanjama Advocates. He is the Trust Administrator/Secretary of Strathmore Educational Trust, a brand name in quality education.
Charles Kanjama has over the years gained great experience in all branches of Commercial Law, including Banking & Insurance, Employment Law, Public Law Litigation, Criminal Law, Succession Law, Family Law and Children, Building Construction, General Contract, Tort Law-Libel and General Tort, Intellectual Property and Conveyancing work. He has a keen interest in Tax Law.

Charles Kanjama Career
He teaches at Strathmore Business School (SBS) and Strathmore Law School (SLS) wherehe lectures Legal Systems, Criminal Law, Healthcare Law and Human Resource Law.
Charles Kanjama is a Non-Executive Director of Pacis Insurance Co. Ltd and Convenor of its Audit Risk and Governance Committee. He also sits as a Board Member of the National Transport and Safety Authority where hechairs the Technical Committee. He is the Vice-Chair,Kenya Christian Professionals Forum and recently served in the LSK Council as Council Member and Treasurer, besides for several years serving as Convenor of LSK’s Constitutional Implementation and Law Reform Committee. He is now a member of LSK’s Litigation Committee.
Charles is also a Council Member of the Law Society of Kenya, and Governor of its Constitution Implementation and Law Reform Committee. He is also a Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (as well as ICPAK and ICPSK).
He successfully handled several election petitions and was admitted as Amicus Curiae by the Supreme Court in the Advisory Opinion on election date and affirmative action.
Charles Kanjama is an accomplished academician and prolific writer. Other than numerous newspaper articles on various topical issues,Charles has authored/edited several books and academic papers.His books have been on the topics of Constitutional Law, Tax Law and Matrimonial Property.His published academic papers have been on the topics of Legal Ethics, Media Law and Political Governance.
