The food is delicous well cooked and the place is clean, has a nice atmosphere and the waiters are friendly, courteous and extremely helpful.Their menu has over 20 ethnic ethiopian dishes which are all delicoius .
Ethiopian cuisine characteristically consists of spicy vegetable and meat dishes, usually in the form of wat (or wot), a thick stew, served atop injera, a large sourdough flatbread, which is about 50 centimeters (20 inches) in diameter and made out of fermented teff flour. Ethiopians eat with their right hands, using pieces of injera to pick up bites of entrées and side dishes. No utensils are used.
Habesha offers a wide array of traditional, hearty Ethiopian/Eritrean cuisine served in a rustic and homely atmosphere. The Ethiopian/Eritrean coffee ceremony is one of the most enjoyable events you can be a part of at Habesha; Ethiopia being the birthplace of coffee. The coffee is taken through its full life cycle of preparation in front of you in a ceremonial manner. Coffee is called ‘Bunna’ (boo-na) by the Ethiopians.
Habesha gives you all that you could expect if you were at an Ethiopian restaurant in Ethiopia plus more. Great understanding o ambiance, and the food is presented quite nicely. Waiters are quite busy, but if they hired another person, I would definitely increase the service rating. The Tibs include rosemary which is quite a nice addition, and their shiro teagmino is delicious.
Most popular dish: Doro wot, kitifo, assa wot and shekla tibs.
