Impala Wildlife Lodge
Styled on a traditional local village, impala Wildlife Lodge offers African ambiance in a natural setting. The buildings, of clay brick with thatched roofs, are round. Dotted around a manicured garden, they are linked by stone paths. The lodge was previously called Mara Hippo Safari Lodge.
There are 69 en~suite rooms, made up of singles, doubles and triples. Some rooms are solid cabins and others are tents. All rooms have verandas with views of the surrounding plains. The central lounge has terracotta walls, comfortable sofas and coffee tables. The restaurant serves international table d’hote, with African specialities. The bar has a selection of soft drinks, beers, wines and spirits, and is equipped with satellite TV. Maasai moran entertain with traditional songs and dances, around an open campﬁre, during the evenings.
The camp has a swimming pool, surrounded by sunbathing terrace with sunbeds and shade umbrellas. Activities include game drives in the Maasai Mara National Reserve. The lodge is not fenced, to allow the wild animals to pass through; Maasai guards are stationed throughout the camp.
