Joshua Kutuny Ruto
Deputy President William Ruto on Friday depicted his wild commentator, Cherangany MP Joshua Kutuny, as a lost child of the Kalenjin people group.
Talking in Kalenjin in Kuttuny’s Biribiriet town, Ruto said the MP is conspiring with his adversaries to end him politically, including that he is burrowing his very own political grave.
Ruto was tending to several occupants during the internment of previous New KCC executive and legislator Kibiwott Koross.
“The work of your MP has become just making noise, but whether he is there or not the government will still deliver to the people of Cherangany because you voted for this government in large numbers,” he said.
Ruto was with Soy MP Caleb Kositany and his Kapseret partner Oscar Sudi.
Others present were territory Deputy Governor Stanley Tarus, Kiminini MP Chris Wamalwa, previous MPs Wesley korir, Kipruto Kirwa, lawmakers Noah Wekesa, Zipporah Kittony and Kakai Bisau.
Kositany blamed Kutuny for being shrunk by ‘forces’ to ruin Ruto’s votes in 2022.
Joshua Kutuny denies rift with DP William Ruto
Former Cheranganyi MP and State House Political Advisor Joshua Kutuny has refuted claims that he is among those undermining Deputy President William Ruto in Rift Valley region.
While dismissing the claims, Kutuny said while playing his role as a Presidential advisor his purpose was to unite all leaders regardless of their political persuasions.
“I am determined to ensure our leaders speak in one voice. It is my duty to iron out differences,” said Kutuny.
Kutuny categorically stated that his meetings with legislators who hold divergent views in the Jubilee coalition should not be misinterpreted to mean he is working against any leader.
“My job as the President’s advisor is to ensure all leaders work together. The only way we can understand each other is by talking and that’s why I am engaging all leaders,” he said.
A section of Members of Parliament from the North rift region led by Kapseret MP Oscar Sudy had in the recent past come out to accuse Kutuny of working with Nandi Hills MP Alfred Keter to undermine Ruto in the region.
