Kiboko Bay Resort Description.
Kiboko Bay Resort is named after the hippos that wallow in front of the resort,it is a tented camp on Lake Victoria. Mariieured lawns, dotted with bougainvillea and palms and humming with birdsong, slope gently to the water’s edge.
The restaurant serves international cuisine, including fresh lake fish. Guests can also eat on the shady terrace or beside the lakefront swimming pool. There is a fully stocked bar and a peaceful library.
The resort has 3 speedboats seating between 6 and 15 pax. There is also a moored barge, ideal for functions and parties. Activities include bird watching, fishing trips, boat trips and cruises to the islands.
Kiboko Bay Resort Accommodation
Kiboko Bay Resort offers premier accommodation in nine permanent and spacious en-suite tents, as well as one deluxe cottage. Each of the permanent tents is built on a raised wooden deck beneath the cool, comforting canopy of thatched roofs with expansive views of Kavirodo Bay and the distance Islands of Ndere and Moboko.
The 9 tents, raised on wooden platforms and shaded by thatched roofs, are set around the garden. All are en-suite, with solid tiled bathrooms, and adorned with wooden and leather furniture and Maasai artwork.
The tents have verandas, with shade netting and canvas safari chairs, overlooking the lake or the garden.
There is also a permanent suite on the lakefront. The suite has aircon throughout, and is made up of a double bedroom, a large bathroom with bath, shower and dressing table, a sitting room with attractive wicker furniture and a fully equipped open plan kitchenette.
