Rahim Dawood Achieverments as a councillor
He has financed a water project at Ruiri which serves more than five thousand residents.
He has done various other activities which include building a kitchen at the Meru G.K Prison, a hospital ward at the Meru General Hospital and overseeing the water and sanitation project at the Gakoromone open air market in Meru.
As a councilor Rahim became a household name and featured greatly in changing the lives of the street children though a feeding programme.Besides,
He has financed several schools in North Imenti constituency and aided in the building of worship centers.
Since he was elected as a councilor Rahim has always given out his whole salary in a bid to help people start small businesses and raise their living standards a move which he says is his own method of giving back to the society.
He is also behind the beautification project which has changed the face of Meru town within two years.
Similarly some of his projects were sabotaged by his political rivals including building a hawkers market, lack of support to clean the town which he did himself and a street lighting project which was not financed by the Municipal council.
He had also in collaboration with the Equity bank planned to build three thousand kiosks which were to be disbursed to the small scale business people in North Imenti constituency but the Municipal Council refused the proposal arguing there was no ground to locate the kiosks.
