Khanya Mkangisa is a South African television presenter and actress. She was born on March 13, 1988 in Peddie, Eastern Cape, South Africa as an only child and was raised by a single parent.
Khanya Mkangisa Career
Khanya made her TV debut at the age of 14 as a youth show presenter on YOTV. She remained with YOTV for three years. She studied at AFDA in Johannesburg, achieving a BA degree in motion picture and television.
As an actress, she is best known for her roles on the SABC1 series Forced Love, Zone 14 and Intersexions. As a presenter, she is well known for her work on various YOTV shows and the e.tv reality competition series Shield Teen No Sweat Dance Challenge.
She was cast in the starring role of Nonhle Minola in 2012, in the SABC1 mini-series Forced Love which – like uGugu no Andile – was part of the channel’s “Shakespeare in Mzansi” strand. The, originally entitled Goba Msenge is an adaptation of Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew, set in a contemporary South African setting.
She was featured in 2013, in the second period of the SABC1 Intersexions, showing up in five scenes – more than some other performing artist. She played the role of Nolitha in the Mzansi Magic drama series Rockville, in 2015 and in October she joined Selimathunzi as a moderator, assuming control from Zizo Beda.

She’s one of the most loved former child-stars in Mzansi
If we are to talk about child stars that have since grown into the most loved adults in entertainment, names like Hulisani Ravele, Musa Mthombeni , Karabo Ntshweng and many others always come to mind however, the cycle is not complete without mentioning THE Khanya Mkangisa.
The now 30-year-old actress and TV presenter made her debut at the young age of 15 where witness her presenting skills flourish on YOTV.
With a BA in Motion picture and Television, Khanya jumped into the entertainment industry as a presenter but has since expanded her territory into drama and series.
