Kristina Bach Interview
Interviewer: With “Atemlos” Helene Fischer has finally sung into the hearts of millions of Germans. Do you also trust her to have an international career?
Kristina Bach: Different factors count for success in the United States. Connections, protection and name-dropping are the most important thing there.
Interviewer: Are you still planning to write songs for Helene?
Kristina Bach: Why should you end the collaboration after such a cult hit?
Interviewer: Do not you think Helene can now sing what she wants? Is not the hit already preprogrammed anyway?
Kristina Bach: The first single she decoupled from her album was “bug free” and very successful. Only the second single was then “breathless” and the success could still be topped. Every artist needs a special song. In other words, a great artist performing a bad song has fewer chances. Because the market is highly competitive.
Interviewer: With “Leben ist Liebe” you bring back your own album after a break of three years. Would you describe this album as your best yet?
Kristina Bach: Songwriting and Production: Yes. All songs of the album are part of a concept. We have created a new hit, the numbers are very modern and innovative. It will certainly be based on many. For the most part, the songs are also more text-laden than in the past.
Interviewer: The lyrics as well as the songs are full of zest for life …
Kristina Bach: Fun and also the courage to think outside the box, to do crazy things and to step out of line are part of my being.
Interviewer: As you get older, you have no problem?
Kristina Bach: What could be better than finally becoming 50 could not happen to me! With 50 you have so many great new opportunities. We are the new 40-year-olds, we are in the middle of life and do not have to prove anything to ourselves. That makes you sovereign.
Interviewer: How do you manage to preserve your youthfulness?
Kristina Bach: As a woman, at the age of 42, I entered menopause very early on. But somebody said to me then: “Do not be afraid, who comes early in the menopause, stays young longer.” It is also important to preserve his curiosity. I remained a child inside and still a mate for horse stealing.
