Landry Shamet, born Landry Michael Shamet is a professional basketball player from the United States. He plays for the Los Angeles Clippers of the National Basketball Association(NBA).
He plays in the shooting guard position. He played for the Philadelphia 76ers before being traded to the Los Angeles Clippers. He played for the Wichita State Shockers in college.

His basketball career began in university where he played college basketball for the Wichita State Shockers. In his freshman season, he played three games. This was due to a foot injury. He became a point guard in January of 2017. In his freshman season, he averaged 11.4 points and 3.3 assists per game. He was in the MVC All-Conference First team. In addition, he was named MVC Freshman of the Year. He underwent surgery to repair a stress fracture in his foot after his first season.
He was in the Preseason First Team All-AAC in his sophomore year. He was one of fifty players in the Preseason Wooden Award watch list. In 2018, he was one of two sophomore players selected for the Wooden Award Midseason Top 25 list. He was instrumental in helping his team beat Oklahoma State, scoring 30 points, a career-high.
He led the AAC in assists per game, offensive box plus/minus and true shooting percentage. His average as a sophomore was 14.9 points and 5.2 assists per game.
After this season, he declared for the 2018 NBA draft.
NBA Career
In the 2018 NBA draft, he was taken with the 26th pick by the Philadelphia 76ers. He averaged 8.8 points per game. He was instrumental in their preseason win against the Dallas Mavericks, scoring 18 points.
On the 8th of January in 2019, he scored a career-high of 29 points. This was after he came off the bench in a home game victory against the Washington Wizards. He also scored 8 three-pointers, a Sixers rookie record.
He was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers on the 6th of February in 2019.
