Lamas was born on 20 January 1958, in Santa Monica, California where he spent his formative years. He learned Taekwondo, Shotokan Karate, Ju jitsu and Aikido in 1979 where he earned black belts. Lorenzo, encouraged by his father, he returned to California and pursued his acting dreams.

Lamas’ rise to fame began in the late 1970s when he landed a small role in the movie “Grease.” He then appeared in several TV shows, including “Switch” and “The Love Boat.”
