Interview About Her Adoption

Last year actress Mampho Brescia confirmed that she and her husband had adopted their daughter, Rain.

In an interview, Mampho admitted that many people thought that she adopted because she could not conceive but she dismissed this.

“I’ve always wanted to adopt from a young age. I feel like there’s nothing more beautiful than to love a soul. Adoption is a taboo subject in the black community because we always take our relative with us, but I think we need to realize that there are children who deserve to be loved.”
In an interview with CliffCentral last year, Mampho said that Rain has turned into a mini-me.

“She’ll come into my bedroom in the morning and say ‘Mommy, I need to do my lips’, she’s always in my shoe cupboard. She loves clothes and she loves herself. She’s so dramatic. She loves to sing and dance and she’s all about her. I know because that’s what I was like at two,” Mampho says. “My mother always says that and my sister says ‘you just got you.’”
Mampho has said if she falls pregnant that will also be a blessing.
