Manuel Franco (born December 19, 1994) is a Puerto Rican professional jockey, best known for winning the 2020 Belmont Stakes riding Tiz the Law (foaled March 19, 2017), an American Thoroughbred racehorse, winner of the 2019 Champagne Stakes, 2020 Holy Bull Stakes, 2020 Florida Derby, and the 2020 Belmont Stakes.
Tiz the law is the first New York-bred horse to win the Belmont since Forester in 1882. Franco has been riding professionally since 2013. As of June 2020, he has won 1,357 of his 9,435 career starts and has finished in-the-money in 42% of his starts.
