Marshall Hall Vocalist
Hall has sung background vocals on records and jingles for a number of national clients, including McDonald’s, Disney, and Warner Bros. During a rehearsal for Bill Gaither, Hall was asked to join the Homecoming Artists in Memphis, Tennessee, for videotaping. Subsequent recordings emerged for Hall, including films in Indianapolis and New York City at Carnegie Hall.
He also found a spot as a backup singer on ventures with recording artists including John Tesh, Clay Walker, Carman, and others. He has written songs for several Gaither videos, as well as Salvador, Point of Grace, David Phelps, a member of the Gaither Vocal Band, and the Vocal Band.
In 2003, he recorded a new studio album, Knowledge of Fools, which included two tracks used by Point of Grace in their 2005 album I Choose You and Boundless, which included an old song by his former band. Hall formed the Gaither Vocal Band as the new baritone in early 2004 after an offer from Bill Gaither that led to a one and a half months audition.
Hall was on the road with the Gaither Vocal Band until 2009, when he left the group to pursue his solo career and ministry work. Since 2009, Hall has joined the GVB to fill the lead in 2010, when Michael English recovered from back surgery and baritone in 2013, when Mark Mark returned to the GVB.
