The pair were first spotted together in 2017 while Ewan McGregor was still married to ex-wife Eve Mavrakis, and their relationship made headlines again after his daughter Clara lashed out at Winstead on social media in July 2018. From her verified Instagram account, Ewan’s daughter, a model, took to the comments section of an image from a fan page for the Fargo star, who was first spotted with Ewan in October, to lash out at the page administrators for calling Mary beautiful.

The girl is a piece of trash (smiley face) x’. Ewan McGregor controversially filed for divorce from Eve in March – six months after being spotted kissing Mary.
It was claimed Ewan has been dumped by Mary because she was unhappy with being dubbed a ‘homewrecker’ however they have since reunited. Ewan McGregor blamed ‘irreconcilable differences’ for the split from his wife, the mother of his four daughters. Mary Elizabeth Winstead Sky High
Sky High is a 2005 American superhero comedy film about an airborne school for teenage superheroes. It was directed by Mike Mitchell and written by Paul Hernandez, Robert Schooley, and Mark McCorkle. The film stars Kelly Preston, Michael Angarano, Danielle Panabaker, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Kurt Russell. It tells the story about the son of two superheroes who are enrolled in a superhero school where his powers kick in.
Exterior shots of the Sky High school were filmed at the Oviatt Library at California State University in Northridge. In between working on the first and second seasons of the animated series Kim Possible, creators Bob Schooley and Mark McCorkle had begun writing a script for a live-action adaptation, which ultimately never came to fruition due to unknown reasons.
Impressed with their work, the filmmakers asked them to look into re-writing the script for Sky High, which had been previously shelved. McCorkle believes they were recruited for Sky High because “they liked the idea of a superhero high school. I think, reading how we wrote teens in Kim Possible, they felt like, ‘This feels good and contemporary, and maybe you can apply that to this project for us.’ Similar to Kim Possible, Schooley and McCorkle wrote Sky High to be equally appealing to both children and adults. According to scifi.com, Disney was attracted by the “original concept” of “children of superheroes going to high school”, originally conceived by screenwriter Paul Hernandez in the 1990s.
The Sky High Original Soundtrack was released by Hollywood Records on July 26, 2005, and is composed of covers of songs from the 1980s (with the exception of “Just What I Needed”, which was from the late 1970s). While none of Michael Giacchino’s score was included on the song album, a limited edition of his score was issued by Intrada Records in 2017.

Mary Elizabeth Winstead Huntress ( Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey )
Birds of Prey (And The Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), also known as Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey or simply Birds of Prey, is a 2020 American superhero film based on the DC Comics team Birds of Prey. It is the eighth film in the DC Extended Universe and a follow-up to Suicide Squad (2016). It was directed by Cathy Yan and written by Christina Hodson, and it stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco, Ali Wong, and Ewan McGregor. The film follows Harley Quinn as she joins forces with Helena Bertinelli, Dinah Lance, and Renee Montoya to save Cassandra Cain from Gotham City crime lord Black Mask.
Robbie, who also served as producer, pitched the idea for Birds of Prey to Warner Bros. in 2015. The film was announced in May 2016, with Hodson being hired to write the script that November, followed by Yan signing on to direct in April 2018. The majority of the cast and crew were confirmed by December 2018. Principal photography lasted from January to April 2019 in Downtown Los Angeles, parts of the Arts District, Los Angeles, and soundstages at Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank, California. Additional filming took place in September 2019.
In May 2016, ahead of the release of Suicide Squad, Warner Bros. Pictures announced a spinoff film focusing on Harley Quinn and several other female DC Comics heroes and villains, such as Batgirl and the Birds of Prey. Margot Robbie was attached to reprise her role as Harley Quinn, and would also serve as producer. British screenwriter Christina Hodson was announced to be writing the film in November. Robbie had pitched the film to Warner Bros. in 2015 as “an R-rated girl gang film including Harley because I was like, ‘Harley needs friends.’ Harley loves interacting with people, so don’t ever make her do a standalone film.” Robbie felt it was important for the film to have a female director. While Warner Bros. and DC Films had various other Harley Quinn-oriented films in development, Birds of Prey was the only one with whose development Robbie was directly involved.
Birds of Prey Cast
- Margot Robbie as Harleen Quinzel / Harley Quinn:
A former-certified psychiatrist, who became a crazed criminal and the Joker’s accomplice/girlfriend, and later a part of the Suicide Squad. She has since cut ties with the Joker after the pair broke up. Screenwriter Christina Hodson sought to reinvent Harley, wanting to expand on the character following her departure from the Joker’s company. Hodson called Harley the character she enjoyed developing most due to her unpredictable personality. - Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Helena Bertinelli / The Huntress:
A vigilante who is the orphaned daughter of gangster Franco Bertinelli. Ella Mika portrays a young Helena, during flashback scenes. - Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Dinah Lance / Black Canary
A vigilante with the metahuman ability of hypersonic screams, which she inherited genetically from her mother. She is a singer in a club that Sionis owns. Smollett-Bell described Dinah as “disenfranchised and disconnected from the world,” and someone who “doesn’t really want to have anything to do with crime fighting or being a good-doer, which is so against her nature because we know Dinah to be all heart.” The actress added she became a fan of Black Canary by playing with the character in the video game Injustice 2, which also influenced how she physically portrayed the depiction of the hypersonic screams. - Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya:
An alcoholic, cynical detective in the Gotham City Police Department (GCPD), who is building a case against Sionis. - Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz:
A deranged mob killer and henchman of Sionis who carves a tally mark on his skin for each victim he claims. - Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain:
A young girl who has a contract placed upon her head by Sionis after she steals a valuable diamond from him. - Ali Wong as Ellen Yee:
Montoya’s ex-girlfriend and a Gotham City district attorney. - Ewan McGregor as Roman Sionis / Black Mask:
Mary Elizabeth Winstead Death Proof
Death Proof (also known as Quentin Tarantino’s Death Proof) is a 2007 American exploitation horror film written, directed and shot by Quentin Tarantino. It stars Kurt Russell as a stuntman who murders young women in staged car accidents using his “death-proof” stunt car. It co-stars Rosario Dawson, Vanessa Ferlito, Jordan Ladd, Rose McGowan, Sydney Tamiia Poitier, Tracie Thoms, and Mary Elizabeth Winstead, with stuntwoman Zoë Bell as herself. The film pays homage to the slasher, exploitation and muscle car films of the 1970s.
Death Proof was released theatrically in the United States as part of a double feature with Robert Rodriguez’s Planet Terror under the collective title Grindhouse, to recreate the experience of viewing exploitation film double features in a “grindhouse” theater. The films were released separately outside the United States and on DVD, with Death Proof going on sale in the U.S. on September 18, 2007. The film was in the main competition for the Palme d’Or at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival.
The story for Death Proof developed from Quentin Tarantino’s fascination for the way stuntmen would “death-proof” stunt cars so a driver could survive horrific, high-speed crashes and collisions. This inspired Tarantino to create a slasher film featuring a deranged stuntman who stalks and murders sexy young women with his “death-proof” car. Tarantino remembers, “I realized I couldn’t do a straight slasher film, because, with the exception of women-in-prison films, there is no other genre quite as rigid. And if you break that up, you aren’t really doing it anymore. It’s inorganic, so I realized—let me take the structure of a slasher film and just do what I do. My version is going to be fucked up and disjointed, but it seemingly uses the structure of a slasher film, hopefully against you.”
On the editing of Death Proof, Tarantino stated, “There is half-an-hour’s difference between my Death Proof and what is playing in Grindhouse. I was like a brutish American exploitation distributor who cut the movie down almost to the point of incoherence. I cut it down to the bone and took all the fat off it to see if it could still exist, and it worked.” An extended, 127-minute version of Death Proof was screened in competition for the Palme d’Or at the 60th Cannes Film Festival. Tarantino is quoted as saying, “It works great as a double feature, but I’m just as excited if not more excited about actually having the world see Death Proof unfiltered. It will be the first time everyone sees Death Proof by itself, including me.”

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World is a 2010 action comedy film co-written, produced and directed by Edgar Wright, based on the graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim by Bryan Lee O’Malley. It stars Michael Cera as Scott Pilgrim, a slacker musician who must win a competition to get a record deal and battle the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend Ramona Flowers, played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead. It also stars Chris Evans, Brandon Routh, and Mae Whitman as some of the evil exes, Anna Kendrick, Kieran Culkin, and Alison Pill as some of Scott’s friends, and Brie Larson as Scott’s own evil ex. Jason Schwartzman plays Gideon, Ramona’s most recent ex and the competition’s record producer.
A film adaptation of the comics was proposed following the release of the first volume. Wright became attached to the project early on, with filming beginning several years later in March 2009 in Toronto. The film premiered after a panel discussion at the San Diego Comic-Con International on July 22, 2010, and received a wide release in North America on August 13, 2010.
It notably uses famous features of its Toronto setting, as well as a video game and comic book imagery and a matching style. Using a battle of the band’s plot, it also uses different real bands as a basis for each fictional group, including Beck and Metric, with the actors in the film performing themselves. It contains extensive visual effects, using a combination of digital and physical methods to create the image, with the title sequence and some of the fight scenes incorporating music into the graphics.
Scott Pilgrim vs. the World was produced by several international companies: Marc Platt Productions (United States), Big Talk Films (United Kingdom), Closed On Mondays Entertainment (United States), and Dentsu (Japan).

Mary Elizabeth Winstead Gemini Man
Gemini Man is a 2019 American action thriller film directed by Ang Lee and written by David Benioff, Billy Ray, and Darren Lemke. Starring Will Smith, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Clive Owen, and Benedict Wong, the film follows a hitman who is targeted by a younger clone of himself while on the run from the government.
Originally conceived in 1997, the film went through development hell for nearly 20 years. Several directors, including Tony Scott, Curtis Hanson, and Joe Carnahan, were all attached at some point and numerous actors, including Harrison Ford, Mel Gibson, and Sean Connery, were set to star. In 2016, Skydance Media purchased the rights to the screenplay (which had been through several rewrites) from Disney and in October 2017, Ang Lee signed on to direct for Skydance with Paramount handling the distribution rights. Filming took place from February through May 2018.
Gemini Man premiered at the Zurich Film Festival on October 1, 2019, and was theatrically released in the United States by Paramount Pictures on October 11, 2019, in standard 2D, Dolby Cinema, and IMAX as well as in HFR (high frame rate) “3D+” on select screens (including 16 Dolby Cinema and 47 IMAX with Laser screens worldwide). The film received generally negative reviews from critics for its script and plot, although the performances were praised. The de-aging of Smith and the high frame-rate of 120 FPS also drew a mixed response, with some critics praising them as technical achievements, while others felt they were unconvincing. It has grossed $173 million against an estimated budget of $138 million, making it a box-office bomb, with projected losses as high as $75 million.
Will Smith was cast in the lead role, and a release date set for October 11, 2019. In January 2018, Clive Owen and Mary Elizabeth Winstead were cast in the film, with Winstead winning the role over Tatiana Maslany. In February 2018, Benedict Wong joined the cast as filming began.
Gemini Man Cast

Mary Elizabeth Winstead Final Destination 3
Final Destination 3 is a 2006 American supernatural horror film directed by James Wong. A standalone sequel to Final Destination 2 (2003), is the third installment in the Final Destination film series. Wong and Glen Morgan, who worked on the franchise’s first film, wrote the screenplay. Final Destination 3 stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead and Ryan Merriman, and takes place five years after[note 1] the first film. Winstead plays Wendy Christensen, a high school graduate who has a premonition that a roller coaster she and her classmates are riding will derail. Although she saves some of them, Death begins hunting the survivors. Wendy realizes photographs she took at the amusement park contain clues about her classmates’ death. With survivor and friend Kevin Fischer (Merriman), Wendy tries to use this knowledge to save the rest of them and ruin Death’s scheme.
The film’s development began shortly after the release of Final Destination 2; Jeffrey Reddick, creator of the franchise and a co-writer of the first two films, did not return for the third one. Unlike the second film, which was a direct sequel to the first, the producers envisioned Final Destination 3 as a stand-alone film. The idea of featuring a roller coaster derailment as the opening-scene disaster came from New Line Cinema executive Richard Bryant. From the beginning, Wong and Morgan saw control as a major theme in the film. Casting began in March 2005 and concluded in April. Like the previous two installments, it was filmed in Vancouver, Canada. The first two weeks of the three-month shoot were spent filming the roller coaster’s derailment.
Following its premiere at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre on February 2, 2006, the film was released in cinemas in the United States on February 10, 2006. The DVD, released on July 25, 2006, includes commentaries, documentaries, a deleted scene, and an animated video. A special-edition DVD called “Thrill Ride Edition” includes a feature called “Choose Their Fate”, which acts as an interactive film, allowing viewers to make decisions at specific points in the film that alter the course of the story.
Final Destination 3 received a mixed critical response. Some critics called the film formulaic and said it brought nothing new to the franchise, while others praised it for being enjoyable and fulfilling its audience’s expectations. Two death scenes involving tanning beds and a nail gun, respectively, as well as Winstead’s performance attracted positive comments from reviewers. The film was a financial success and, with box office receipts of nearly $118 million, the highest-grossing installment in the franchise at the time. A fourth film, The Final Destination, was released in August 2009.
