Bros brothers Matt and Luke Goss secretly recording new material for comeback later this year
BROS pop duo Luke and Matt Goss have been secretly recording new material for their comeback later this year.
Friends of Matt reveal that the singer, based in Las Vegas, is working with once estranged twin Luke to revive their careers after a new documentary created headlines.
They’ve now secretly recorded music for a Bros reunion album.
Friends say that they have laid down “at least one new piece of music” during an extended session at the Palms Casino in-house recording studio.
The source said: “2019 is the year of the Bros full scale comeback – not just old tunes, but new music and a planned tour.
“Luke and Matt have really put their differences behind them and are now in tune with each other musically and see big things happening.
“The NTAs was the start of the plan to keep their name out there as they want people to start talking about them and create a buzz again.
“The boys spent time together at Christmas as a family, the first time in a very long time. And as part of that they actually wrote and laid down music at the Palms studio.
“Their desire is to have an album ready by the summer, before they head back on the road.
“It has been a huge shock to many of Matt’s Vegas friends who thought they would never collaborate again. They have defied the odds and their optimism is through the roof.
“The documentary made it look like there was drama between the pair, but it is over and they are back on track.
“However they are using the publicity to help promote their music and generate interest again. They are hoping for a hit.”

Bros’ Matt Goss says he’s ‘still passionate about conkers’ and delivers another great one-liner
The Goss brothers became a viral hit after the broadcast of their recent documentary
Bros’ Matt Goss has said that he’s still “passionate” about conkers in a new interview which sees the singer deliver another classic one-liner.
Goss, along with his brother and bandmate Luke, became viral sensations in late 2018 after the documentary Bros: After The Screaming Stops was broadcast on BBC Four. Amongst other things, the film showed the pair arguing throughout rehearsals as they prepared for a comeback tour of the UK.
Appearing on today’s This Morning (January 25) the brothers were asked if they locked horns because they are “intense creatives.”
“Any great meal needs spice,” Matt replied. “That’s what we are – we are two very separate ingredients that are essential to what we do as a band.”
The duo was also asked about their takeover of meme culture and their so-called “Bros-isms”.
“I like speaking in analogies and metaphors and similes,” Matt replied. “Sometimes it’s a descriptive way of speaking. I realise that more now and I love the conkers thing. I still feel passionate about conkers and not wearing goggles.”
He was referring to a moment in the documentary in which he asks Luke if they can start a petition “as Bros for this ridiculous thing where you can’t even play conkers, you have to wear goggles.”
“That is the biggest problem,” he added. “You can’t play conkers in England.”
Earlier this month, Luke Goss denied that he had complained he was “sick of being ridiculed” after the documentary was shown on TV. He was quoted by The Times as saying: “There is a contingent who like a freak show. They will always take the piss. But if that’s their contribution to the universe then I pity them. I’m kinda sick of being ridiculed. I focus on the good people out there.”
He took to Twitter after to clarify his feelings: “Contrary to a certain UK newspaper….I’m over the moon with the reaction of the documentary!” he wrote. “Those guys love an angle lol anyway…thank you all for being so vocal and supportive about our #film sending #love as always.”
Meanwhile, Bros have confirmed details of a new London show this summer. They will play at London’s O2 Academy Brixton on July 5.
