Matt Nagy Contract
He played football for his high school team, The Manheim Central Barons and was the team’s star quarterback. Matt also played college football for his university, The Delaware Fightin’ Blue Hens. After college, he was invited to try out for The Green Bay Packers of the NFL but in the end, he wasn’t taken on.
His career was spent playing in the Arena Football League (AFL), which is a pro indoor American football league. Starting with the New York Dragons in 2002 where he played for two years and also did some radio commentary for the team.
In 2004, Nagy went on to play for the Carolina Cobras. The next year he went on to play for the Georgia Force and led them to ArenaBowl XIX where they lost to Colorado Crush. In 2006, he was traded to the Colombus Destroyers.
The next year Matt led his team to ArenaBowl XXI but again luck was not on his side as they were beaten by the San Jose SaberCats. In 2008 he ended his playing career. All in all, Nagy played six seasons in the AFL recording passes for 18,866 yards and 374 touchdowns.
Matt Nagy Teams Coached
Nagy started his coaching career with his high school team as an assistant coach. He then went on to serve as a quarterbacks coach at Cedar Crest, Lebanon in Pennsylvania during the 2002 – 2003 high school football season. He also served as the offensive head coach of the Junior Varsity.
Between 2008-2009, Matt served as the offensive coordinator for Palmyra Area High School football team, the Palmyra Cougars. In 2009, Matt Nagy commenced his NFL coaching career as a coaching intern for the Philadelphia Eagles. The NFL terminated his contract the next day after it was discovered that his contract with the AFL was still valid.
The Eagles did not re-sign Nagy but allowed him to continue as a coaching intern. On the 9th of February 2010, he was promoted to the position of a coaching assistant. Nagy became the team’s offensive quality control coach on March 2nd, 2011. On the 11th day of 2013, Nagy was appointed quarterbacks coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.
In 2006, after three seasons he was appointed as an offensive coordinator. In December 2017, the head coach gave up play-calling duties to Matt. Under his guidance, the team ended the regular season 4–1 and had an average of 28.6 points.

8th January 2018 saw Nagy hired as the 16th head coach to the Chicago Bears. In his first season, the team won the NFC North, a division of the NFL. This was the first time the team won the conference since 2010. He is still the head coach and hopes to lead the team to SuperBowl LIII which will be played on the 3rd of February 2019.
