In 2003, Missanelli left the station when his contract expired. Missanelli signed a new multi-year deal in January 2010, at ESPN affiliate, 97.5 The Fanatic. In January 2003, he was fired from 610 WIP and started a show with Joe Conklin on WMMR. Apart from his radio work, he is also a professor at Saint Joseph’s University.
During an interview with Philadelphia Eagles kicker David Akers, Missanelli referred to the Eagles kicker a “girl” and went ahead to criticize him for not being “a real athlete” and also called him “just a kicker”. Missanelli was fired from WIP in 2006 after an altercation with an on-site producer in which it was alleged that he hit the producer.
