Mollee Gray (Mollee Shon Gray) is an American dancer, actress, and singer-songwriter. She is famously known for her singing career and acting. She finished in the top-8 in the season six of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’. This greatly earned her a lot of fame in 2009.
She started taking dancing lessons at the age of three. Later on she left her family and hometown to pursue dancing and acting. She started her acting career in 2002 in the dance drama ‘Out of Step’. She appeared in the romantic comedy ‘No Strings Attached.’
She played one of the main characters in two ‘Teen Beach’ television films and starred as Courtney in the action drama ‘South32’. She got her first appearance in Ryan Little’s directorial venture, ‘Out of Step’, in the year 2002. The film was about a girl from Utah who relocates to New York City. This is after she is accepted in a prestigious dance program.
Four years later, she secured another appearance in the first ‘High School Musical’ television film. She starred alongside Zac Efron, Vanessa Hudgens, and Ashley Tisdale. She played a character credited as Brainiac Dancer. She was credited in the sequel ‘High School Musical 2’, as the Principal Dancer. The High School Musical 2 was aired in the year 2007.
She also appeared in ‘High School Musical 3: Senior Year’. The series was released in theatres in the year 2008. The series proved to be a commercial success. It earned $253 million at the box office. She was again recognized as the principal dancer in the film. She also appeared in the television film ‘The American Mall’ in the year 2008.

In the year 2011, she appeared in Nickelodeon’s sitcom ‘Victorious’. In 2013, she also appeared in ABC’s sitcom ‘Suburgatory’. The following year she appeared in Disney Channel’s ‘Austin & Ally’. In 2015, she appeared in ‘Best Friends Whenever’. The same year, she was cast in her first starring role in the teen thriller ‘Double Daddy’.

Q: What was it like growing up Orem, Utah?
Mollee Gray: I absolutely LOVE Utah! I didn’t realize how beautiful it was until I left. My favorite part was having all four seasons!
Q: How did you become interested in acting?
Mollee Gray: I’ve loved theater and dance ever since I was a toddler!
Q: What would you say was your biggest career changing moment?
Mollee Gray: My very first really big job…I was a featured dancer in the Disney franchise High School Musical!
Q: Tell us about your new role in A Night to Regret.
Mollee Gray: I play Chelsea Bilson in A Night to Regret. Chelsea is a strong, intelligent, powerful survivor! She gets caught up in a terrible situation, but is able to use her strength to overcome such a horrifying obstacle.
Q: Who is your favorite actor/actress right now and why?
Mollee Gray: Reese Witherspoon! I absolutely love her diversity in all of her roles!
Q: What’s your favorite movie of all-time and why?
Mollee Gray: Walk The Line. Johnny Cash and June Carter are two of my all-time favorite artists, and of course Reese Witherspoon plays June Carter.
Q: Any upcoming projects we should know about?
Mollee Gray: Yes! I have two more projects coming out. The Reliant, a faith based action film, and The Favorite, a film based on true events of a true survivor!
Q: What advice would you give to aspiring young actors?
Mollee Gray: No matter how many times you get told “no”…if you believe in yourself enough, anything is possible.
Q: Who would you like to work with most in the film or TV industry and why?
Mollee Gray: Jennifer Lawrence. To me, she is one of the most talented actresses of our generation.
Q: Outside of acting, what are you most passionate about?
Mollee Gray: I absolutely LOVE to dance! It started my career and will always be a huge passion of mine.
