Nicolas Cantu is an American actor, content creator, and animator best known for playing as the third voice actor of Gumball for The Amazing World of Gumball. He replaced Jacob Hopkins starting with “The Copycats” in season 5. He did not return to voice Gumball in The Gumball Chronicles, with Duke Cutler taking up the role.

Nicolas began his acting career when he was seven years old and still in school. He performed and rehearsed self-created roles, routines, and voices at home, and at school. Nicolas took part in all of the school plays, his first being, ‘The Bear Went Over the Mountain.’Later he began acting professionally in an industrial film for the City of San Antonio followed by three national commercials. Nicolas then landed an agent and snagged a recurring role as Prince James in the animated series, Sofia the First (2012).
Later Nicolas landed numerous commercials roles , including multiple spots for “Old Navy” (with Julia Louis-Dreyfus) and roles in TV such as Disney XD’s, Walk the Prank (2016), and feature films including, Vikes (2017) and The Impossible Joy (2017). He also played lead roles on films such as Gumball in Cartoon Network’s The Amazing World of Gumball (2011), and an upcoming animated Disney series. Nicolas had a recurring roles in Nickelodeon’s Hey Arnold: The Jungle Movie (2017) and Dora and Friends: Into the City! (2014) to name a few.
