Serita serves as executive director of women’s and children’s affairs at The Potter’s House, where she oversees the internationally acclaimed God’s Leading Ladies Life Enrichment Program, the nationally acclaimed Distinctively Debs Youth Program for academically astute girls, as well as Starting Over, a ministry committed to the betterment of women who encounter life-altering challenges such as abuse, divorce, joblessness, and grief.

A gifted writer, Serita released her first book, The Princess Within, in 1999. Houser has stated he is a fan of Walter Hill’s film The Warriors, and Rockstar Games went on to release a video game version of The Warriors in 2005. In 1995, Houser got a part-time job at BMG Interactive testing CD-ROMs, although he wasn’t a full-time employee until 1996.
