The series was canceled after a single series.
He also starred as the replacement singer in the video for Snow Patrol’s single “Called Out in the Dark”, released on YouTube on 17 August 2011, alongside Tara Summers and Gary Lightbody. In 2018, he played the Earl of Warwick in a revival of George Bernard Shaw’s Saint Joan starring Condola Rashad.

Bo Ryan is an American former college basketball coach and player. He was the head coach of the University of Wisconsin–Madison Badgers men’s basketball team from 2001 to December 2015. He also served as the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville from 1984 to 1999 and at the University of Wisconsin–Milwaukee from 1999 to 2001. He retired on December 15, 2015.

He began playing basketball when he was still a young age. His father, Butch Ryan, coached youth sports including basketball to under-privileged children in Chester, Pennsylvania. He was also a high school quarterback. After high school, he starred as a point guard at Wilkes College in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. His love for the game drove him to remain involved with the sport, choosing to get into the coaching profession.
His coaching career debuted in 1972 at Brook haven Junior High School in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, he worked as a history teacher and basketball head coach. After graduating from Wilkes University, he began graduate work at Villanova University in Villanova, Pennsylvania. In 1973, he began his collegiate coaching career at Dominican College of Racine in Racine, Wisconsin. He won a Coach of the Year award as head baseball coach at Dominican.
In 1974, after Dominican College closed down, he became the head coach at Sun Valley High School in Aston, Pennsylvania, while there he was named conference coach of the year in 1976. His success at Dominic College and Sun Valley led to a job as assistant head coach at the University of Wisconsin–Madison under head coaches Bill Cofield and Steve Yoder from 1976 to 1984.
After accepting the head coaching position at the University of Wisconsin–Platteville, the UW-Platteville was the winningest NCAA men’s basketball team of the 1990s (all divisions) with a 266-26 (.908) record. On January 27, 2007, UW-Platteville officially honored his 15-year tenure by naming the playing surface at Williams Field house “Bo Ryan Court”. Ryan, along with the 2007 Wisconsin Badgers team, attended the event.

Robin Van Ert, the woman who had an extramarital affair with former Wisconsin head coach Bo Ryan, is now suing University of Wisconsin school officials, according to a report from the Wisconsin State Journal.
Van Ert filed a suit on Wednesday in Madison for alleged defamation and other rights violations, including her privacy right for the revealing of her identity.
Van Ert originally reported to the school that an affair, which has been reported to have begun in 2009, was taking place on February 2015. Months later, Ryan announced that he would be retiring as head coach following the 2015-16 season; however in December of that year, he abruptly retired, and later said the decision had nothing to do with the affair.
The University of Wisconsin conducted an investigation that determined Ryan did not misuse any university resources and closed the investigation.
In the complaint it is said that the initial investigation was ultimately a “sham” and was not done broadly enough, also claiming that Ryan was “unfit” to mentor student-athletes, thus violating his contract with the school in his morality clause.
She is seeking compensatory and punitive damages, as well as attorney fees.
Among those included in the suit are Chancellor Rebecca Blank, Athletic Director Barry Alvarez and university spokesperson John Lucas.
