She said: “So many women are being weak about aging. I find it annoying. It’s ridiculous to imagine you can stay young forever and live forever. There are beauty and respect in age. Magazines and media are disrespectful of age.”

Hall added that she understands and “respects” the pressure for older actresses in Hollywood to retain their good looks, so much so that she “feels sorry for them”. “But for normal women to do it? If men want to leave their wife for a 19-year-old, they’re going to do it anyway,” she argued.

“All the facelifts and botex in the world isn’t going to change that guy, you know?” Hall credits yoga, swimming, and a healthy diet free of bread and sugar for her youthful appearance. “My face and body have been a tool for my career, and I’m very conscious of that aspect and try and keep it the best I can,” she said.
