    In school, he used a tape recorder as a musical instrument and experimented with his first, sometimes improvisational, bands. St. Joseph’s College teacher.

    His career in music began professionally in 1971 as a member of the glam/art rock band Roxy Music, initially not appearing on stage with them at live shows, but operating the mixing desk, processing the band’s sound with a VCS3 synthesizer and tape recorders, and singing backing vocals. He then progressed to appearing on stage as a performing member of the group.In 1973 he quit the band due to disagreements with lead singer Bryan Ferry and boredom with the rock star life.     Malandra was born on 4th November 1965, in Woolton, Liverpool, United Kingdom. She attended King David High School in Childwall. While at school, she joined the Everyman Youth Theatre in Liverpool, did several classes at Liverpool Theatre School, and also did productions with a regional amateur dramatics company at St Peter’s in Woolton, whilst continuing to perform musically.
