In 2006, Hyuna started her career as the main rapper of the girl group Wonder Girls. Their first release was the mini-album The Wonder Years. The album topped the South Korean albums chart. It included tracks, like This Fool, Tell Me and Headache. In 2007, she left the group as her parents were very concerned about the toll her work was taking on her health.
It was announced that she would join the girl group 4Minute In 2008. The group released its debut album Hot Issue In the year 2009. Meanwhile, she also started her solo career and her first solo work was a collaborative song with Lee Gi-Kwang. Titled 2009, it was featured in his debut album First Episode. She also made an appearance in his music video for the single Dancing Shoes.
Hyuna’s debut solo single named Change was released in the year 2010 and it was a major success and charted in high positions on several online charts. The song reached the 14th position on the Gaon 2010 digital charts. Nearly 2.5 million copies were sold. in 2011, she released her first extended play, Bubble Pop! Its title single became a huge success and reached number four on the Gaon Digital Chart. The music video for the song surpassed 100 million views on YouTube, which made her the first female Korean artiste to have reached this milestone.
As a member of the band 4Minute, she released two albums. The first one, Diamond, reached the 10th position on the South Korea Gaon albums chart, as well as the second position on the South Korea Gaon International albums Chart. Josh Abbott Band is a Texas country band initially from Lubbock, comprised of Preston Wait (fiddle, guitar, steel), Josh Abbott (vocals, guitar), Austin Davis (banjo), Caleb Keeter (guitar), David Fralin (keys/mandolin), Edward Villanueva (drums), and Jimmy Hartman (bass guitar).

Abbott established the band in 2006 in Lubbock, Texas while attending Texas Tech University, where he was a member of the Texas Epsilon chapter of Phi Delta Theta.
