Missy Gold is an American Psychologist and former Child Actress born and brought up in Great Falls, Montana, United States. She is best known for portraying the governor’s daughter, Katie Gatling, on the sitcom Benson (1979–86). Gold emerged on Eight Is Enough, Fantasy Island, The Hardy Boys/Nancy Drew Mysteries, and Trapper John, M.D., and earned a degree of fame playing Katie Gatling on Benson, where she won an award in 1984 for the best young actress in a comedy series before she left the company.
