Being a native New Yorker, Magee Hickey was born in Brooklyn and she was brought up in the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Currently, she works at PIX11 in Midtown Manhattan, New York, as a reporter. Previously, before joining PIX11, Hickey worked as a reporter at WLNE-TV, in Rhode Island, United States.

She also worked as an anchor in WNBC, WCBS, WNEW, and WABC. She recently moved back to Brooklyn, the borough of her birth.
