A Colossal Failure of Common Sense is Robinson’s nonfiction foray into the events surrounding the bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers, which he and fellow co-author Lawerence G. Macdonald put in context to the financial crisis of 2007-2010. Throughout the book, Robinson shares his belief that the United States government should have saved Lehman Brothers. He also states how he thinks it was a preventable disaster and was caused by a failure of leadership. Nimitz Class was Robinson’s first fiction book to be published in 1997. The hero of the book was Admiral Arnold Morgan. The plot revolves around a nuclear torpedo attacks a made-up aircraft carrier. From there it is much a game of cat and mouse and follows two separate storylines all the way through. One is about how the bad guy planned the attack and the other is about tracking down the submarine itself. It is a good edge of your seat thriller, that most of Robinson’s fans have given wonderful reviews to. One Hundred Days, another nonfiction book Robinson co-authored, soared to the top of the New York Times bestsellers list. He and fellow co-author Sandy Woodward gave readers a fascinating look at the Naval side of operations in the Falkland campaign of 1982. In Robinson’s new fiction series, the first being, Diamondhead, readers follow Navy Seal Lt. Commander Mack Bedford. His fellow officers are killed by Iraqi insurgents using a brand new type of missile. Mack Bedford takes down the attackers when they are unarmed and gets discharged. But he knows there are happenings about with these missiles and so when he gets a chance to assassinate the man behind the missiles, he jumps at the opportunity. Robinson has sold millions of books across the world, he has his books published in over 20 different languages.
