Patrick Stewart born Sir Patrick Stewart was born on 13th July 1940 in Mirfield, United Kingdom. He is an English actor. He is popularly known for his role on Star Trek.
He left school at 15 and worked as a newspaper reporter before joining the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. In the 1960s he began a long association with the Royal Shakespeare Company. In 1987, he was cast as Jean-Luc Picard in the TV series Star Trek: The Next Generation, and went on to star in several Star Trek films and the X-Men movies. His latest film is Gnomeo & Juliet.

He is retiring from the X-Men franchise. The actor says the new superhero film Logan (out March 3) will be the last time he plays the mutant leader, Professor Charles Xavier. Stewart made the announcement at a SiriusXM Town Hall where he appeared alongside Logan director and co-writer James Mangold.

But don’t you love my hair?” Sir Ian said.

He was born to Gladys, a weaver and textile worker, and Alfred Stewart, a regimental sergeant major in the British Army. He has two older brothers, Geoffrey who was born on 28 January 1925 in Mirfield) and Trevor who was born on 10 August 1935, also in Mirfield.

Patrick Stewart met his wife, sunny Ozell, in 2008 through a mutual friend when Ozell was working as a waitress in New York. They married in September 2013. They have an age gap of 39 years. Stewart has two children who are older than sunny and she says that they were welcoming despite them being older than her. ‘That was territory I trod on very lightly. I didn’t want to force myself on them but they were very welcoming.’
He married his first wife, Sheila Falconer, in 1966 but they later divorced in 1990 after 24 years of marriage. In 1997 he became engaged to Wendy Neuss, one of the producers of Star Trek: The Next Generation. They married on 25 August 2000, and divorced in 2003.
