Harris started her career performing on stage with the Los Angeles improvisational comedy troupe the Groundlings and also taught at the Groundlings school.
She has also performed in Love, Loss, and What I Wore. She appeared on television in a 1993 episode of SeaQuest DSV. Harris went got a recurring role in The WB’s Sister, Sister after an appearance on Star Trek: Voyager in 1997.
