Alejandro and Anuel AA, a fellow Puerto Rican rapper, were childhood buddies who attended the same school and shared lessons with Federico A Benitez. Alejandro performed in school talent competitions as a child because he enjoys dancing.
He enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico after graduating from high school. He also played association football from the age of six until he was twenty, but resigned because he “could not perform as he planned” and sustained an injury at the age of twenty.
He relocated to Orlando, Florida with the hopes of being scouted for a position in the Premier Development League (PDL), but was ultimately unsuccessful.
Despite this, Alejandro continues to play and watch football as a passion and has stated that Cristiano Ronaldo, a Portuguese footballer, is his favorite player and idol. He was left in a light depression after leaving football, so to lift his spirits, he decided to pursue a musical career and began publishing songs on SoundCloud in 2014.
He released his debut mixtape, Punto de Equilibrio, in November 2016. He secured a music deal with Duars Entertainment in January 2017. In 2018, Sony Music Latin invited him to be a member of “Los Próximos,” a musical project in which the label sought out new musical potential.
The musical effort helped him gain prominence, and as a result, he was included in many collaborations that year, including Kevin Roldán and Khea’s “Pa’ Tu Casa” and Ozuna, Lunay, and Lyanno’s “Luz Apaga.”
